Don Harrier is an architect, advisor, and executive leader with more than 40 years of experience in architecture, real estate development, and organizational leadership. He is recognized for his collaborative leadership style and for building high-performing, multidisciplinary teams that deliver complex projects with excellence.

He currently serves as a Consulting Principal with DesignIntelligence, where he advises architecture, engineering, and construction firms on leadership, strategy, and organizational performance.

Previously, Don spent 13 years with HKS Architects, one of the world's leading design firms, where he held numerous leadership roles, including Office Director for the firm's combined San Francisco and Palo Alto offices and Co-Director of the Hospitality Practice. Throughout his career, he has led the planning and delivery of nationally recognized hospitality, healthcare, and commercial developments, including projects for Ritz-Carlton, Montage Hotels, Four Seasons, and other premier destinations.

Before returning to architecture, Don held senior leadership positions in real estate development with The Athens Group and ProLogis, overseeing the successful development of millions of square feet of commercial and resort properties across the western United States.

Don earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado Denver and a bachelor's degree in Economics from UCLA. He is a licensed architect in California and holds NCARB certification.

A longtime community volunteer, Don has served on the Palo Alto Unified School District's Schools for the 21st Centurycommittee, held numerous leadership roles within his church, and is proud to serve on the Board of Trustees for Compass High School. He is passionate about strengthening organizations that create opportunities for students and build stronger communities.
