College advising

Transition from high school to life after graduation can be a time of excitement, confusion, and stress. We believe that positive passage is best accomplished with preparation and reflection.

For this reason, Compass High School provides support to our students and families as they approach and move through the transition process junior and senior years.

Support for students who are planning on attending a college setting or moving into a career receive guidance from the College and Career Advisor.

Assistance takes several forms: individual conferences, information night, college application process, recommendation letters, college and career school field trips, communication with the receiving school or service, alumni talks, and other events.

Transition

Our Transition Program helps each student find the right post-secondary opportunities. Whether the student intends to pursue a Bachelor’s degree, attend community college or a trade/technical school, or enter the workforce upon graduation, Compass staff provide assistance in a variety of areas to ensure that the student is making the right choice and is fully prepared to succeed.
