Christina is a current Compass High School parent who has long been actively engaged in her children’s education. Over the years, she has volunteered in a wide range of roles—serving as a parent aide in cooking, gardening, and science classes, as well as class coordinator and middle school electives coordinator. As the parent of two neurodiverse students, Christina is deeply committed to schools that celebrate children’s strengths while supporting their learning differences—Compass being one of them.

A scientist by training, Christina earned her B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Boston College. Her professional career has spanned several fields of chemistry, from her early work as an Environmental Chemist to cancer drug development at ArQule in the Boston area, and later as a Pharmaceutical Formulations Chemist at SRI International in Menlo Park, where she contributed to the development of an antimalarial vaccine for the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Currently, Christina works as a private tutor in math, science, and Spanish, supporting nuerodivergent students in building confidence and reaching their full potential.

Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Christina enjoys spending time with her family, rollerblading, practicing martial arts, playing the piano, and ballroom dancing with her husband.
