Holly Oliver Materman is the Director for Strategic Events & Outreach at the Stanford Graduate School of Education (GSE). Prior to joining the communications team at the GSE, Holly led annual giving, alumni relations, and donor and community-building events for the GSE for 16 years. In this and her current role, she has worked closely with GSE deans, Stanford faculty, university and alumni leaders and development officers to help the GSE realize its vision of a world where all learners are prepared to thrive in a dynamic future.

Before Stanford, Holly taught English as a Second Language to K-3 students in the Palo Alto Unified School District, international students at a language camp in Switzerland, and graduate students at the Beijing Management Institute, followed by a decade working in early literacy educational technology at Computer Curriculum Corporation. She has board experience with Family Connections, a parent-participation preschool serving East Palo Alto and Redwood City families, and with the San Carlos Education Foundation as the VP of Parent Education. Holly received her BA in English from the University of California, Davis. Holly and her husband Len have two adult sons.
